GOOD TO KNOW
Understand your results before you put them to work.
Choose the country where the company is registered, enter its legal name, and search. If several companies match, compare their names and registration numbers before selecting one. VATFind displays a tax ID only when it is supplied by the data source.
Yes. Select the VAT / EIN tab, choose the country, and enter the number. For a US company, use its nine-digit EIN. You can also add a state to narrow a US search. Tax ID availability differs by jurisdiction.
No. “Active” is the company’s registry status. This homepage currently looks up company and tax ID records through Global Database; it does not perform live VAT-authority or IRS validation. Tax registration status is shown separately as “Not supplied by Global Database”.
A missing tax ID means the source did not supply one. No match can mean the name, number, country or source coverage needs checking. Neither result proves that a company is unregistered or that its tax ID is invalid.
This public beta allows three completed searches per network each day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. People sharing a connection may share the allowance. Empty results count as completed searches; source errors do not. Viewing details from a search does not use another search. A signed-in workspace is available. Paid access and public email signup are not enabled yet.
VATFind uses the Global Database KYB API. Results show the source information supplied by the API, along with the time VATFind retrieved the record. Company details may be cached for up to 15 minutes; this is not a claim that the underlying registry was updated at that time.
A daily keyed hash of the network address is used for the free allowance; the raw address is not stored in our lookup database. Rate-limit records are cleaned up during searches after two days. Company detail records are cached for 15 minutes. Queries are sent to Global Database to complete the search. Signed-in searches also save a summary to your private history, which shows the last 30 days. You can export or clear it from your workspace.
