Record the relied-upon facts
Store the resolved entity, evidence fields, source and time used by the original agent decision.
AI AGENT EVIDENCE MONITORING
Keep company evidence behind AI-agent decisions current. Monitor supported field changes, refresh VAT or EIN matches and reopen affected reviews through API or MCP.
THE PRACTICAL ANSWER
Store the company facts used in the original answer, then monitor the supported fields and link material changes to affected decisions. VATFind exposes company-monitoring events through the documented workspace, API, MCP and webhook routes. Your application determines whether a change requires a new lookup, a revised answer or a reviewer. This monitors business evidence; model latency, token costs and agent execution traces are separate observability concerns.
THE WORKFLOW
Store the resolved entity, evidence fields, source and time used by the original agent decision.
Choose which company changes invalidate, weaken or simply annotate the existing decision.
Send a structured event through the documented workspace, REST, MCP or webhook route, then hand it to the review workflow.
Retrieve current evidence, compare the change and record whether the prior outcome remains valid.
WHAT VATFIND DOES
VATFind monitors the resolved company record and supported changes to legal name, status, address, registration number and VAT-number evidence. A material event can trigger the agent to repeat the company or VAT/EIN association check instead of relying on an old result.
Evidence meaning: a verified association means the submitted VAT number or EIN is linked to the returned company record. It is not, by itself, confirmation of current tax-registration status, tax compliance or approval of the wider transaction.
For API checks, use vat_number outside the US and tax_identifier for US EINs. Optional fields can be absent when a source does not provide them.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH
Track execution errors, latency and tool usage in your application's monitoring system.
Track supported changes to the legal company and identifier association used by an answer or workflow.
Map each material change to the records, answers or approvals that relied on it, then assign the next review.
CONTROL OWNERSHIP
A reliable workflow names who owns the input, who interprets the company evidence and who makes the wider decision. That separation prevents a data result from becoming an unexplained approval.
Define which prior answers or actions depend on monitored company facts.
Set material-change rules and required re-review actions.
Link events to decisions, re-ground safely and prevent uncontrolled loops.
DECISION DESIGN
| Stage | Evidence to retain | Controlled action |
|---|---|---|
| Register dependency | Decision ID, resolved company evidence, source time and policy. | Monitor only the supported facts material to the original decision. |
| Evaluate change | Prior value, new value, event type, confidence and observed time. | Suppress noise; flag changes that cross the policy threshold. |
| Re-ground | Fresh company result, affected decision and current policy. | Re-run the permitted step, request human review or mark the prior answer stale. |
EXAMPLE WORKFLOW
An agent previously produced a supplier summary using a saved company result. A later monitoring event changes a field used in that summary. The application identifies the dependent summary, requests fresh company evidence and opens a review if the change matters to the decision. Retain both versions and the reason for the update. An unrelated address-format adjustment should not automatically withdraw every recommendation about the company.

WHAT TO MEASURE
Track operating quality rather than claiming that a company match guarantees the downstream outcome.
READ THE RESULT CORRECTLY
A generic company update is not automatically material. The workflow must define which fields, sources, event thresholds and decision types require re-grounding or human review.
Review data and limitationsFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Typical supported triggers include changes to company status, legal name, registered address, registration number or VAT numbers. Materiality depends on the original decision and policy.
No. The event should be compared with the facts relied upon. Some changes only update context; others require the decision to be repeated or withdrawn.
Use the VATFind workspace, REST or MCP retrieval, or a configured signed webhook. Each event carries its VATFind IDs, changed fields and timing context.
Only when the organisation defines a safe policy for that event type. High-impact or ambiguous changes should remain eligible for human review.
No. Agent tracing measures how software executes. VATFind company monitoring supplies changes in the business evidence used by an agent. Your application can connect the two, but they answer different operational questions.
Use the documented event identifier and changed-field context to find affected records, fetch the evidence needed for the review and apply your materiality rules. Record the resulting action and handle duplicate deliveries in the integration.
