YOUR DATA IN THE PUBLIC BETA

Privacy information.

These notes describe how the current VATFind application handles lookup information during the public beta.

Updated 27 August 2026

Company searches

The name or tax ID, country, and optional state or province you submit are sent to Global Database to retrieve company records. Do not enter passwords, personal financial details, or information unrelated to a business lookup.

Company-detail responses can be cached in the application database for 15 minutes. The original retrieval time remains attached to the response.

Daily allowances

To apply the free limit, the application derives a daily keyed hash from the network address supplied by the hosting platform. The raw address is not stored in the lookup quota table. Rate-limit records older than two days are removed during subsequent search activity.

People sharing a network can share the same free allowance. Hosting and infrastructure providers may separately process request metadata under their own policies.

Sign-in and saved history

ChatGPT provides the signed-in identity for this beta. VATFind reads the current email and optional display name to show your profile and determine which search history you may access.

Completed signed-in searches store a derived account identifier, search text, method, country, optional region, number of matches, and timestamp. The history table does not store your profile name or email, temporary result tokens, or full company-detail snapshots.

The dashboard displays a rolling 30-day window and up to 100 recent searches. Older history is purged during subsequent signed-in search activity; this beta does not promise deletion at a scheduled minute. Reopening a saved query puts that company search in the page URL and your browser history.

Your controls

You can export the displayed history to CSV and clear all your saved search summaries from Search history or Settings. Clearing history removes rows for your identity from the active application database. It does not reset the daily allowance or delete logs held separately by the hosting or data provider.

Signing out ends your ChatGPT sign-in session for the site. VATFind does not manage a separate password or a separate email-based customer account in this beta.

Cookies and payments

The dashboard uses a preference cookie for the sidebar’s open or closed state. The hosting platform manages its own authentication cookies. We have not added marketing analytics or advertising trackers to the VATFind application.

Paid checkout is not enabled. VATFind is not currently collecting payment-card details or creating subscriptions.
